Reckong Peo is the administrative headquarters of Kinnaur and an important stop on the Himalayan route towards the higher regions of Kinnaur and Spiti. The town is known for its spectacular views of the Kinner Kailash mountain range when weather and visibility permit. Nearby attractions include Kalpa, Kothi and local temples and villages.
